ANCHORAGES

Isla Espalmador

Highlights: Fine sandy beach, walk to the the mud baths, look-out tower and walking along the cliff above the western shore. Too many jellyfish to swim.

Note: Mooring buoys, no anchoring allowed. We paid no fee in May. Not sure about later in the season.

Cala Llonga

Rock cliffs on both sides

Clot d'es Llamp

One of our favorites. No developments, steep cliffs surrounding the anchorage. Good holding in sand.

Cala Pi

We planned to anchor here, but after seeing the cala it seemed very narrow with rocks on both sides and a strong swell coming in.

Outside La Rapita

3-4 meters over sand. We could use the WiFi from the Marina.

Isla Gambina

Isla Cabrera

Puerto de Cala Llong - Cala Gran

Isla de Formentor

Mooring balls. No charge (maybe this changes in July/August?)

Cala Porter

Golfo Della Lacona Bay

Elba Island, Italy

Nice large bay, open to the south. Many boats come for the day and leave at 6 pm. We had only a handful of sailing yachts in a bay that could hold more than 100. Good holding on sand bottom.
